I guess my friends Thursday is the day that works the best so we will just keep rolling with it. I got all checked into the place that I am house sitting at for the next 6, well now 5, days. This place is by far my favorite- it might have to do with it being my best friends place haha- but I feel most at home here. Plus, I love being able to bless her while she is away and do extra cleanings or making her up a couple meals she can thaw and make. She is a busy mom of two young children and a home school mom. I love being able to help her out in this season of life. Plus a gifting for me is hospitality so that goes hand in hand. In this season I am learning to lean into my giftings and use them to further the Kingdom instead of just saying yes to all of the things. God gives us each unique giftings to help further the Kingdom and to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19-20). We need to learn what those are and use them.
I love the quietness of this house when I just sit and have nothing on in the background. Its peaceful, until the dogs bark at a gentleman riding his bike passed the house. My flow of life is different when house sitting so I always have to establish a new routine at the places I stay. I like sitting at her table just looking out the window to write. Who knows I may even work on a book that I’ve been working on. Not tonight though. Unless its after the football game. Lil is going to come over and hangout and watch football with me tonight. I may work on it though after the game. I love late night or early morning writing. Its my favorite for long writing.
Are you reading any good books right now? I am working my way through a couple. She Reads Truth by Raechel Myers & Amanda Bible Williams. Crazy Love by Francis Chan is my audio book right now, I love this book and it reminds me to continue to just be sold out for Christ. To remind me of my why. And lastly, Murder in the Locked Library by Ellery Adams. I usually have a fiction book going too cuz sometimes these christian books can be meaty and I need for resonate on what I read. So, switching to the fiction book when I want to cuddle down and read helps. I love cozy mysteries. All the mystery but no sex or cursing. Win win in my book.
