The God We Serve

It’s been on my heart to share about God, and what that means exactly. We serve a God of great things love, hope, grace, comfort, joy, the list can go on and on. However, we also serve a God that brought wrath to the Israelites after he freed them because of their lack of belief that He would fulfill his promises. He cursed them for 40 years to wander the desert. Maybe, just maybe part of the things you have been promised have been taken away because you do not trust in God and his promises. Maybe he is waiting for you to fully surrender before he fulfills his promises and you are actually the one holding up you getting those promises. We serve the God who can part the red sea for you to cross while also closing it so your enemies cannot get to you. We serve the God who can breathe life from his lungs to dry bones and give them life. We serve the God who rose from the dead. If you don’t understand the magnitude of these things then you need to take a step back and examine your life and what you have been believing. I know that it’s easier to blame someone else for why things aren’t working out, but sometimes you have to get real with yourself and search yourself. Ask God to show you the parts that are holding you back from gaining your promises. Then begin the work with him and in you to work through them. Believe with all of your heart and stop doubting. If God has spoken promises he has plans to fulfill them, in his time not ours. If he has told you things that you need to do to gain those promises then you need to be doing them.

I hope you have a fabulous week.

XOXO
