I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
I hear many times joy comes in the morning. However, I do think that joy does come, but not always the next morning. I think part of being a Christian and having our faith in God is holding onto that faith and the promises he gives. Now hear me out. God never promises us that this life will be easy. He never says everyday will be filled with joy, laughter, or perfect times. What he does promise is that joy will come. That his promises hold true. When we walk in a hard part of life we know that Jesus is there because he tells us he will be. We need to hold steadfast to those promises. He is walking right beside us holding our hand and comforting us (Isaiah 41:10). We know that once this season changes we will have joy again. So, if you are struggling right now and joy seems so out of reach just keep on walking. Keep you head up because Jesus is there and he feels your pain. Keep crying out to him. Let him know how you are feeling. He wants us to run to him when he are broken just as much as he wants to rejoice with with us when we have triumphs. There will be joy again. He says there will be. If right now there is joy in your life and you feel great about how things are going take a moment to thank God and count all the good things, but please don’t look down on your brothers and sisters when they can’t see the joy in the moment. We don’t know what their battles are at this moment.
This week I just want to continue to spread the love to each and every person I come in contact with. I encourage you to do that same. Also life that person(s) up in prayer that you know are in the depths of the valley and can’t see a way out.
